Making it Out of the Group Chat

You’ve heard of friend trips making it out of the group chat—how about COVID ideas making it out of the pandemic? For over four years, I’ve tested, ideated, taste-tested, and (sip-tested 😉) and realized that it’s time to get my ideas out of Google Drive and start sharing them with all of you.

For anyone who’s talked to me over the last four years, you’ve heard about how much I wanted to write and publish a cookbook. I drafted it, designed it, talked to publishers, and kept coming so close to moving forward. However, when it came time to take that last step and choose a publisher, I realized that I barely use cookbooks myself. So, why would I continue investing time, money, and effort into selling something that I (realistically) wouldn’t buy myself? I love cookbooks and have shelves of them in my baking center, but I find myself increasingly using my laptop to play my favorite Spotify playlists and show me the latest recipe I’m trying (or writing) when I'm in the kitchen.

With each blog post, I hope to give you a little insight into what it takes to build a boozy baking empire, share lessons I’ve learned from writing my own recipes, and provide fun tips I wish I’d known at the start of my baking journey.

I finally feel ready to take this idea out of the proofing stage and start baking it to completion by offering individual, downloadable recipes. This way, you can try something new, experiment, and get only the recipes that excite you to preheat your oven, pour a shot, and get to work.
